Amanda Seyfriend hops aboard 'Ted' sequel

Well it looks like Mila Kunis has been replaced.

"Deadline" reports that actress Amanda Seyfried (Mean Girls, Les Miserables) will join Ted 2 as the female lead.  She'll replace Mila Kunis who is either being written out of the movie altogether or will have a very small role. Director/Writer Seth MacFarlane said the changes are due to the plotting of the film.  I wonder if they will kill her off?

I'm actually kind of surprised by this move because I thought Kunis was hilarious in Ted.  She obviously wasn't the best part of the film but her chemistry with Wahlberg was fantastic and the scene with Ted, Kunis, and the prostitutes was hysterical.  That being said I don't mind the choice.  Seyfried has come a long ways since the days of Mean Girls and although she's not exactly Meryl Streep, she's not Kristen Stewart either.

Seyfried can next been seen in another MacFarlane film, A Million Ways to Die in the West, this summer.  Ted 2 releases June 26, 2015.
