No Hans Gruber but latest Die Hard sequel eyeballs a couple of villains

Personally I think Alan Rickman's performance as Hans Gruber in the original Die Hard is one of the iconic movie villain roles of all times. Not only did it personify the 80s terrorist/yuppie/material culture, but his performance was slick, sleek, and unrelenting. Gruber was more of an intellectual villain than an ultra-violent antagonist like his cohorts. To me that made his character more appealling and fascinating.
Three sequels later, no villain has been able to compare to the original film's Eastern European blagard. The prospect of a fifth Die Hard picture is pretty ridiculous but you have to have villains and it appears that A Good Day to Die Hard has found its villains.
According to "Variety" Sebastian Koch from The Lives of Others and up and comer Yulia Snigir will play villains Komorov and Irina. There are still no plot details from director John Moore or the film's screenwriter Skip Woods. So far all that is known is that John McClane and his son will be saving the world from "imminent danger."
A Good Day to Die Hard comes out February 14, 2013.
