Mendes. Sam Mendes. Will the director return for another Bond?

Skyfall was maybe the most fun I had at the movies all last year and I think really deserved serious consideration as a Best Picture nominee.  A large part of the reason for Skyfall's success was Academy Award winning director (American Beauty) Sam Mendes.
Not long after the film hit theaters the questions arose as to if Mendes would return for another Bond.  Initially, most thought no because the next Bond was rumored to be a two parter that required a four year commitment.  However, that plan has since been scrapped and "The Daily Mall" reports that there is a 75% chance that Mendes will return.  Currently screenwriter John Logan has a rough draft of the next film and Mendes is eagerly awaiting a complete script before committing.  (Good idea.)
Meanwhile Mendes is directing King Lear and also is putting together a musical adaptation of "Charlie and the Chocolate" factory releasing on stage on May 18th.
Bond 24 is set to start shooting later this year or early 2014.
