Well one bad motherf**ker and one hot number are about to join the Robocop reboot according to "The Hollywood Reporter." Abbie Cornish (Limitless, Sucker Punch) has been offered the role of Alex Murphy's wife in the upcoming film. Cornish is little known for her movie work although her turn in Limitless was decent even if her role in Sucker Punch was abysmal. Not sure how this part will catapult her into the limelight but hey a person's gotta eat.
Samuel L. Jackson (pick a movie from the last 20 years) also joins the cast as Pat Novak, a media mogul who is a very influential character in the world of Robocop. Makes me wonder if he's going to be like the Dick Jones of the new Robocop.
Filming is set to begin this September with an eye on a summer 2013 release date.
