Liam Neeson set to cash in with "Taken 3"
Well this news is as about as shocking as January snow in Western New York. Considering the first film had a budget of $25 million and made $226 million worldwide and the second film had a budget of $45 million and made $376 million worldwide, it was inevitable that a third installment of Taken was going to happen.
Liam Neeson has agreed to return as ex-CIA agent Bryan Mills for Taken 3. His payday will be a whopping $20 million. As the philosopher Randy Moss once said, "Straight cash homie!"
Screenwriters Robert Mark Kamen and Luc Beeson have already begun work on a script although at this point there is no director attached. However, Olivier Megaton (yup that's his real name) who directed Taken 2 is thought to be the logical choice.
Look I thought the original was amazing and the sequel was terrible so I really don't feel there is a need for a third. But like I said with those box office numbers a Taken 3 movie was virtually guaranteed.
Filming will likely being later this year with an eye on a late 2014 release.
