Anyone that expecting to see Anna Paquin's character or rogue in next year's X-Men: Days of Future Past can forget it. Her one and only scene has been cut from the film.
Thankfully, it isn't anything scandalous or the the director being a douche:
“Through the editing process, the sequence became extraneous. It’s a really good sequence and it will probably end up on the DVD so people can see it. But like many things in the editing process, it was an embarrassment of riches and it was just one of the things that had to go. Unfortunately, it was the one and only sequence Anna Paquin was in, the Rogue character was in. Even though she’s in the materials and part of the process of making the film, she won’t appear in it.”
Apparently, Paquin was very professional about the whole thing and understood that this stuff happens all the time in Hollywood. (Which it does.) I think her chances of making it into the DVD are almost assured in any case.
X-Men: Days of Future Past hits theaters May 23rd next year while Paquin's final season of "True Blood" begin next June on HBO.
