Hugh Laurie looking to join the cast of Brad Bird's "Tomorrowland"

Director Brad Bird's upcoming feature Tomorrowland (formerly 1952) is quickly becoming the next Cloverfield.  No one seems to know what the hell it is about.  Aliens? Monsters? Nuclear war? Bill Clinton's homemade porn?  Who knows.
What we do know is the feature will star George Clooney as the lead protagonist and if you believe "The Hollywood Reporter," the film may have found its principal antagonist as well.  Actor Hugh Laurie, best known for the television show "House" is negotiating to play the lead villain.  There are no details about his character but as I said there are little details about this film in general.
I like the idea of Laurie as a villain.  He certainly has the look.  Regardless it appears Laurie is eager to play a villain as he was recently attached to the Robocop remake before dropping out.
Tomorrowland is currently in pre-production with an expected release date of December 19, 2014.
