I’m done making comments about Indiana Jones and the Kingdom
of the Crystal Skull. Anyone who follows
this blog knows that I’ve done a 180 on it over the years. Although many think that after the last film Indy
should just be run over by a boulder, I’m up for a fifth go-round, provided it is
the right story and there’s a good McGuffin.
With Harrison Ford more than likely about to head back into a galaxy
far, far away as his other iconic role Han Solo, it begs the question: Will Henry Jones Jr. don the fedora again?
Ford hopes so.
If this is going to happen though, they need to get a move
on. Although he’s in great shape, Ford
is now seventy-one years old. It’s only
a matter time before the idea of Indy gallivanting around the world becomes
completely implausible. Honestly, I
hope this gets done at some point but with Spielberg being so picky lately and
George Lucas in semi-retirement the odds are long against it.
Ford can next be seen in Paranoia, which releases next
Friday, and the embattled Ender’s Game on November 1st.
