Actor Jason Flemyng auditions for a role in 'Star Wars Episode VII'

It may not be casting news but at least this is solid information and not a rumor.

Actor Jason Flemyng (Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels, X-Men: First Class) tweeted that he auditioned for a role in J.J. Abrams upcoming Star Wars film.  Flemyng (I can't get over that spelling) even tweeted a picture of the script although not any content.  (He'd probably be castrated by a lightsaber if he did that!)

I don't mind Flemyng.  He's been fine in the movies he's done but I'm curious to see what role they'd have him audition for.  I can't believe it would be a Jedi.  Seems like a smuggler or some type of bad guy would be more appropriate.

Star Wars Episode VII opens December 18, 2015.
