Hey this isn't casting news but at least it's something official.
The House of Mouse in a press release through StarWars.com revealed that Star Wars Episode VII will grace theaters on December 18th, 2015 just in time for Christmas. Take that Santa!
Reports had J.J. Abrams camp lobbying to move the release date to summer 2016 but Disney apparently refused. This caused bouts of nerd panic as fans felt there wasn't going to be enough time to produce a quality film. I think we can put those concerns to rest now. The movie starts shooting early next year, I doubt it will take longer than six months to film, which leaves over a year for post production and special effects.
Abrams is currently putting the finishing touches on the final script with Lawrence Kasdan. Kasdan also penned The Empire Strikes Back.
Now that that's out of the way, let's get some casting news bitches!!!!
